Gusten's Restoration Studio works with clients across the United States and Canada including museums, antique dealers, interior designers, house-keeping, disaster clean-up services as well as moving and postal claims.

Lenore & Joe Gusten started this business in 1994 as a desire to mix their art backgrounds and interests in ceramics. Over the years, they have developed their own techniques for creating durable, beautiful restorations of ceramic objects, including pottery and porcelain.  Now that Joe has retired, Lenore runs the business herself.

Along with their broken treasures, clients have also brought some great stories. It gives these artists great pleasure to restore those memories and connections to ancestors through the restoration process.  Click here for client testimonials.

Lenore & Joe have been guest speakers for historic home preservation societies, antique collectors' clubs, antique study societies, museum curators and antique dealers. They have done work for MESDA, (Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts). The North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, NC, the Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC, the Rowan Museum in Salisbury, NC, as well as the Restoration Department of Replacements, LTD refer to them, as well as numerous antique dealers, interior designers and moving companies.
