This late 19th century German salt glaze wine ewer was missing part of the crown, part of the beak and had chip on the foot. We could not find any pictures of another one like this, so we sculpted the crown based upon the portion that remained and other images of that period of similar crowns. The beak was reconstructed to hold the ring which was found inside the ewer in several pieces. The newly repaired areas were painted and textured to match the original.
